  1. Walter Fowlkes

    Walter Fowlkes joined 68 Ventures as Chief Financial Officer in January 2020.

    He brings over 30 years of experience in diverse, finance leadership roles across a myriad of industries and finance disciplines in both public and privately held companies. A graduate of Georgetown University, Walter began his career in international banking and corporate finance with Bank of America.

    Thereafter, his former client, Clariant, a listed, global Swiss Chemical, tapped him to be their Treasurer. At Clariant, in the wake of a historic acquisition, he helped transform the finance operations and optimize the capital structure to support a company that had trebled in size. He later held various senior roles as Assistant Treasurer and Director of Corporate Development for Baker Hughes, a publicly traded, oil field services company. He assisted Baker Hughes in navigating the financial crisis and in assimilating several acquisitions. Most recently, Walter was CFO of Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc., a family-owned, acquisitive and high-growth, multistate and multinational diversified holding company, whose primary business activities are centered in steel services, steel distribution and real estate investment.

    Walter grew up in Mobile, Ala. and graduated from McGill-Toolen High School. Since then, he has lived in numerous foreign countries and various major U.S. cities. He speaks several foreign languages. He is also an Army veteran and served two years in Germany after high school. He currently resides with his wife, Hillary, in Magnolia Springs, where they enjoy life on the Gulf Coast. Their two youngest children attend the University of Alabama.

  2. Drew Dolan

    Drew Dolan is the CEO for 68 Ventures leading the company’s real estate and development efforts. Dolan, previously president of Truland Homes, a leading Gulf Coast builder of more than 3,000 homes.

    As president for Truland, Dolan was responsible for implementing the company’s vision, mission and overall strategic direction in addition to driving culture throughout the organization, a role he will continue as CEO of 68 Ventures.

    Previously, Drew worked for 68 Ventures as Chief of Staff where he was focused on providing support to the CEO, project management and strategic planning working with internal business units, banks and investors on deal structures and execution.

    Drew’s real estate and development career began when he worked as an attorney in the commercial real estate group at Maynard, Cooper & Gale (Maynard Nexsen) in Birmingham, Ala. Here, he represented buyers, sellers, investors, developers, landlords and tenants in all types of real estate matters.

    A native of Fairhope, Ala., Drew attended The University of Alabama where he earned a bachelor’s in finance, a master’s in business administration and a law degree. Drew and his wife, Ashleigh, have three sons, and enjoy spending time outdoors, especially on the water.

  3. Nathan Cox

    Nathan Cox is the founder and chairman of 68 Ventures (68V), a development and investment company headquartered in Daphne, Ala. that is defined by its culture and fueled by a team of purpose driven high performers. It has a strong track record, resulting in it becoming one of the largest developers within the region, deploying well over a billion dollars in capital across multiple asset classes, and the successful creation, acquisition, and exit of numerous operating companies.

    His business career launched in 2008 when he founded Bellator Real Estate & Development, now the largest brokerage firm on the Alabama Gulf Coast for the last seven years. Nathan started Truland Homes in 2011, which closed more than 3,400 homes on its way to being acquired by D.R. Horton in 2023. 68V has also developed over 8,700 single family lots to date and is the largest supplier for D.R. Horton’s Gulf Coast region. The 68V portfolio is comprised of 9 operating companies and over 100 investment entities.

    As Chairman, Cox serves as the leader, visionary, and culture driver for the organization.

    Cox graduated from The University of Alabama summa cum laude in investment finance and economics, then earning a master’s in business administration from the University of South Alabama. He played football at The University of Alabama while earning Academic All SEC Honors, was recognized with the Paul “Bear” Bryant Award his senior year as the university’ s most outstanding student athlete, and was later presented with the Economics, Finance, and Legal Studies Alumni Leadership Award.

    Upon graduation, Cox became a Rifle Platoon Commander with 3rd Bn 6th Marines and during his deployment in Iraq was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal with combat “V” for Valor as a 1st Lieutenant in recognition of his actions while in combat.

    Cox is passionate about spending time with his family. He is an avid traveler, but there is nowhere he’d rather be most days than his home in Daphne looking out over Mobile Bay. He also enjoys exercising, leading charitable endeavors alongside his father, staying active in the Young Presidents’ Organization, studying successful people, and seeking out challenges of any kind.

  4. Adam Campbell

    As President of 68 Ventures, Adam Campbell leads operations and serves as the single point of contact for all presidents of our operating companies within the 68V portfolio. His experience as a USMC jet pilot and working with one of the largest employers in the world in a highly competitive space makes him a valuable leader for our team.

    Prior to joining 68 Ventures, Campbell spent his corporate career as an executive in both the public and private sectors focused on formulating long-term growth strategies. Campbell’s experience includes managing national sales teams, directing and overseeing company marketing, developing and overseeing a national client retention strategy, managing public affairs and communication efforts, along with identifying and evaluating acquisition targets that would unlock strategic markets for the organization.

    Campbell graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Monmouth University. He later went on to earn a Master of Business Administration, along with a Masters of Tourism Management, from Colorado State University. Campbell also has a Master Certificate in Six Sigma from Villanova University and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

    Upon graduation from Monmouth University, Campbell entered the Marine Corps Officer Candidate School earning a commission upon completion. He spent the next 11 years as a Harrier Pilot and ultimately left the Marine Corps in 2015 at the rank of Major. Campbell was deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan where he flew combat missions in support of Marines, Soldiers, and NATO forces throughout the Helmand Province.

    Campbell enjoys spending time with his wife Melanie, along with their two daughters Kylie and Sydnie. He enjoys cooking, traveling, running, swimming, and playing sports with his daughters.

  5. Sam Haginas

    Sam Haginas serves as Managing Director – Investments at 68 Ventures where he focuses on driving operational efficiencies into systems and processes across the portfolio, in addition to vetting and developing new joint venture partnerships. He has over 15 years of industry experience in finance, real estate, and technology.

    A native of Mobile, Ala., Sam attended The University of Alabama, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration while playing basketball and went on to play professionally in Europe. He enjoys spending time traveling, paddle boarding, playing beach volleyball and scuba diving.
